Our aim is to make everyone's dream of owning a handpan possible despite the high investment. To make financing a handpan easier, we offer installment financing at fair conditions. This allows you to start playing the handpan straight away without having to pay the high amount all at once. Instead, you can relax and finance your Handpan over a longer period of up to 36 months. You are free to choose the installment amount and term. You can also make a down payment and finance the remaining amount in installments.
Overview of the installment conditions by term:
- 0% financing: For a maximum term of 6 months.
- Up to 12 months: Special conditions of 4.90% effective annual interest rate.
- From 12 to 24 months: The effective annual interest rate is 9.1%.
- From 24 to 36 months: The effective annual interest rate is 12.9%.

The digital installment agreement automatically calculates the interest costs, the total amount and the monthly installment. Revocation of the financing application:
With regard to the purchase contract, the statutory right of withdrawal applies, which begins at the earliest upon receipt of the goods. If you wish to adhere to the purchase contract and choose an alternative payment method, you can revoke the financing contract. If you wish to withdraw from the purchase contract (e.g. using the 14-day right of withdrawal for distance selling contracts), the financing contract is automatically null and void.
Early payment of the outstanding amount:
You can, of course, settle the outstanding amounts in part or in full. However, this has no influence on the interest costs agreed in advance.

Advantages of handpan rental:
- Try before you buy: discover the fascination of handpan music and find the perfect model without having to make an immediate purchase decision.
- Flexibility: Choose from different rental periods and enjoy the freedom to use the instrument for as long as you need it.
- Crediting the rental fee: If you like the instrument you have rented, you can buy the Handpan and the rental fee will be 100% credited to you. If you return the rental instrument, you will receive a voucher for 50% of the rental fee, which you can redeem to purchase a Handpan. If you buy another instrument within 14 days of returning the rental instrument, we will top up the voucher to 100%.

Sound quality and tuning stability guaranteed
At Handpan.World, we attach great importance to the sound quality and tuning stability of our handpans. Our instruments, made by renowned manufacturers, remain in tune for three to five years, depending on the brand and model. However, should retuning be necessary, we offer a comprehensive retune service.
Retuning service within the Handpan.World guarantee
All instruments purchased from Handpan.World come with a two-year guarantee on tuning stability. Should your Handpan unexpectedly go out of tune within this warranty period, we offer a free retuning service. Only the shipping costs of 80 € for the return shipment to our retuner will be charged.
Please note: The guarantee does not cover detuning caused by your own fault or external influences such as falls or solid objects hitting the sound fields. In the event of detuning caused by accidents or improper handling, the Handpan.World Retune service can be used for a fee.

Handpans are now offered by numerous providers on all kinds of platforms. The majority of instruments are overpriced mid-range or cheap and poorly manufactured mass-produced goods from Asia. Even better-known brands from music stores such as MEINL, Fame, PanAmor, Terre, etc. are known to have an immature sound quality and tuning stability. This is not surprising, as these are mass-produced goods that are manufactured in large workshops without sufficient time and attention to detail.
When buying a handpan, we recommend opting for quality and a supplier who also offers a professional retuning service. Adequate quality does not always have to mean the highest price shelf. We at Handpan.World now also offer very reasonably priced handpans between 1000-1500 € with exceptional sound and tuning stability.

Every handpan goes out of tune over time. Depending on the manufacturer and processing method, the tuning of high-quality manufacturers remains stable for three to five years. However, intensive playing and strong temperature fluctuations can also shorten the detuning period. How long an instrument stays in tune also depends on how it is treated and cared for. Direct detuning can occur if the instrument is dropped or hit by a hard object (especially on tone fields).

If your handpan has gone out of tune, you can take advantage of our retuning service. We take care of the entire process. The instrument to be retuned will be collected from you and returned to you perfectly tuned within three to four weeks. The costs vary between 150-300€ (including insured shipping) depending on the instrument and the degree of detuning.
Send us a video recording of the detuned handpan when you place your retuning order. Play each tone field separately and improvise a little afterwards. This gives us a first impression of the degree of detuning and allows us to better assess the effort involved in retuning.
NO retuning of third-party instruments:
We ONLY retune instruments from the Handpan.World network.
We receive numerous requests for retuning orders of inferior instruments, mostly purchased on the Internet, e.g. on Amazon, Ebay or eBay.e.g. on Amazon, Ebay, Etsy, etc.
Our tip: Don't buy cheap handpans on the Internet - except of course from Handpan.World 😉
But experience has shown that even better-known brands from music stores such as Sela, MEINL, Fame, PanAmor, Terre, etc. have immature tuning stability. This is not surprising, as these are mass-produced goods that are manufactured in large workshops without sufficient time and attention to detail.

Our handpans are made with the utmost care and precision to guarantee the highest sound quality. However, this quality takes time. Below you will find an overview of the expected production time of your handpan:
Estimated production time:
- Standard instruments (9-12 notes, root notes G3 to B2): approx. 4 to 10 weeks
- Custom-made instruments with low tunings (fundamental A2-E2): up to 3 months
- Bottomnote instruments up to 15 notes: up to 3.5 months
- Bottom-note instruments up to 21 notes: up to 4 months
30 days exchange possible:
We offer flexible exchange options for Handpan instruments. After receiving your handpan, you have the opportunity to check the sound quality of your ordered handpan for yourself. If you are not satisfied with the handpan you have received, you can exchange it within 30 days without further ado. We also offer extraordinary exchange options.
Exchange regulations at Handpan.World:
- Exchange periods: The exchange periods apply from receipt of the goods.
- Free exchange: A free exchange is possible within 30 days.
- Exchangesvia Handpan.World Support or Showroom: Exchanges via Handpan.World Support or the showroom where the instrument was purchased are free of charge.
- Exchangesin another showroom: In the case of an exchange in a Handpan.World showroom where the goods were not purchased, a lump sum of 100€ may be charged. This fee is paid directly to the Handpan.World representative on site and serves as compensation for his or her time.
- No money refund: No money will be refunded in the event of an exchange. If a difference remains after the exchange, the customer will receive a voucher (if the difference is positive) or an additional invoice (if the difference is negative).
- Additional exchange: If a new exchange is desired after the first, free exchange, an additional processing fee of 50€ and 30€ for shipping (outward and return shipping) will be charged.
- Extraordinary exchange option: Even after the 30-day exchange period has expired, an exchange may be granted if the instrument is in perfect condition. In these cases, we charge a usage fee of 150€ per month or part thereof after the 30-day exchange period has expired.
14 days right of return:
We adhere to the European right of withdrawal and return for online purchases. Every online retailer is legally bound to allow its customers a fourteen-day return period after receipt of the delivery in return for a refund of the purchase price. If you wish to make use of this, please submit your return via our returns portal within 14 days.
According to § 312 d para. 4 BGB , custom-made products made to customer specifications are excluded from the right of withdrawal. This applies to handpans that are not directly available but must be made to order in advance. Pre-orders in accordance with Article L 121-20-12 of the Consumer Code are expressly not offered.
A warranty obligation for the correctness of the ordered goods, tuning stability and correct tuning nevertheless exists. Defects must be reported immediately upon discovery and Handpan.World must be given the opportunity to rectify the defect. In addition, Handpan.World grants a 30-day right of exchange for custom-made products - we want every Handpan.World resident to be happy in the end.

The instruments we offer do not include cases, as everyone has different requirements for a handpan case. Some want the simplest/cheapest option, others are looking for a solid or high-quality soft case for everyday use, others travel a lot or are on the road and need the best possible protection from a hard case. Some don't want a case at all because they only want to play the instrument at home.
As you can see, it makes no sense to offer a specific case model directly. We have therefore decided not to include the bags in the price, but to offer a 20% discount when you buy a handpan online and order equipment such as bags, stands, holders and care products (for a maximum of 3 products). This discount will be automatically taken into account during the ordering process.
This gives you the opportunity to choose your own bags and ensures that every requirement is catered for equally.

Delivery times: All→directly available handpans aredelivered within the EU in 3-7 working days.
All other pre-ordered handpans are lovingly handcrafted for you. Depending on the manufacturer, the production time is 2-5 weeks. We will inform you about the estimated delivery time after your order and keep you informed about the status.
Shipping costs:Within the EU we deliver your ordered handpan free of charge. Outside the EU, shipping costs are 50-100€ depending on the region. You will be informed about the exact shipping costs during the ordering process.
If your Handpan is out of tune, you can take advantage of our retuning service. We take care of the entire process. The instrument to be retuned will be collected from you and returned to you perfectly tuned within four to six weeks. The costs vary between 150-300€ (including insured shipping) depending on the instrument and the degree of detuning.

Common questions about handpans
Every Handpan, regardless of the material, needs to be well cared for. Steel always reacts with air, moisture, salts and acids. Regular and proper cleaning of your Handpan is therefore highly recommended. Despite all the rumours that stainless steel is easier to clean than conventional, nitrided steel, our experience shows that handpans made of embersteel and other types of stainless steel are particularly susceptible to discoloration and surface corrosion. Handpan care is therefore an essential part of maintaining your instrument.
Instructions for handpan cleaning & care with handpan oil:
1. Never store your handpan in a bag. Textiles store
moisture, which acts on the steel of your Handpan and can lead to corrosion and rust. Therefore, store your Handpan so that it can breathe freely.
2. Wash your hands before every game. This will reduce the accidental application of harmful substances such as salts and acids to your Handpan.
3. Remove dirt, grease, salts and acids from your Handpan every 1-2 weeks with a high-proof rubbing alcohol.
4. After cleaning, apply sufficient care oil to the clean and dry surface of your Handpan and spread it evenly with a microfiber cloth so that the entire Handpan is covered with a shiny layer of oil.
5To remove stains, tarnish and fingerprints, polish with a microfiber cloth.
6. Leave your Handpan to rest for approx. 12 hours after oiling to allow the oil to adhere and create a protective patina.
7If the handpan is still greasy after application, simply remove the residue with a microfiber cloth.
7. After each game, wipe your handpan with the still oily microfiber cloth to lightly re-oil the surface and remove salts and acids from your skin.

Mutant & Bottom-Note handpans are handpans with extended scales. The mutants are extended upwards with a second row of tone fields on the upper side. The bottom note handpans carry the other notes on the lower side of the handpan. To find out more visit our blog post > here.
The best possible combinations are either the identical scale or parallel keys according to the circle of fifths. The simple basic rule is: from the major key it is 3 semitones down to the parallel minor key, or vice versa, from the minor key it is 3 semitones up to the parallel major key.
