Since December 2019, from the very beginning, Battiloro has been part of the Handpan.World Maker network. At Battiloro, the journey through the musical universe began in 2007. A group of friends, musicians and percussionists discovered the potential of a fascinating new instrument: the handpan. This passion for the instrument was combined with the expertise of experienced craftsmen, and thus Battiloro was born.
The Battiloro Handpan is made in accordance with the origins of this instrument and is entirely handmade. The two phases of careful design and sound research ensure 100% Made in Italy craftsmanship. Battiloro's team is made up of highly qualified artisans who dedicate the necessary time to each individual instrument, shaping it, tuning it by ear and finishing it until it becomes an incomparable, unique piece.
Each instrument has its own unique character, like a tailor-made garment, and reflects the personality of the musician who chooses it. We therefore recommend trying the instruments in person. We welcome you and will be happy to help you choose the instrument that best suits your tastes and needs.

About the Chandra Handpan:
Inspired by the Hindu moon deity, Chandra has a shiny and silvery character that tends towards introspection. Chandra is versatile and his expressiveness is complemented by an additional tone - the highest tone formed under the thing. The special stainless steel processing guarantees excellent sustain. Finished to a silver-matte finish with amber reflections.
Mood description:
In this tuning, the equinox is reflected in the sound through the balance of major and minor thirds (double attack).
The thing is the bass and fundamental tone of this hexatonic tone arrangement, which also allows for friction due to its two semitone steps. This allows you to create tension that you can then relax again by releasing it.
Pure balance—Yin and Yang
Equinox consists of all the notes of the natural minor scale except the 4th degree. This makes the sound a little more open, but still remains very changeable. The jump from the DING to the first note consists of three semitones, i.e. a minor third, also called a minor third. This creates the strong impression of a minor (Aeolian) sound. The second note is the fifth (4 semitones from the third tone), so the complete triad is already present in the lowest notes. From here it goes up gradually to the twelfth (fifth in the higher octave) except the eleventh. So the sound becomes denser towards the top, similar to the physically pure natural scale.
This tuning is very suitable for simple harmonic playing.
Equinox variant of “Healing Frequency”: Here the fourth level is also present, so in the example of Equinox F the note Bb. Thus the whole Aeolian mode is present and you have even more possibilities!
